New Customer

Setup your account

Depending on whether you are a renter or an owner, the way to set up an account with us differs.

Renters

Notice of occupancy change will only be accepted from the property owner or the property manager in writing at least 3 business days in advance. The minimum information required:

  • Transfer date
  • Names of all responsible parties
  • Contact information for the tenants
  • Forwarding address for the previous tenant, if applicable

Owners

If you are moving in, requests will only be accepted from the closing agent or another responsible closing party. The notice must be provided at least 3 business days prior to the date of transfer or closing in writing. The minimum information required:

  • Closing date
  • The names of all responsible parties
  • Contact information for the new owners
  • Forwarding address for the previous owner

Installing service

Application for service can be made at the Vera Water and Power office, located at 601 N. Evergreen Rd. The customer must provide a legal description of the property to be served at the time of application.

New construction residential applicants

When applying for service, please call our office at (509) 924-3800, and ask for Kim or Todd Henry.

You will need the following information:

  • Customer name - the individual or entity responsible for paying the bills
  • Mailing address - where the bills should be sent
  • Service address - the physical address of the site
  • Contact name and phone number
  • Legal description - this must include the lot and block in subdivisions and all parcel numbers that are available
