Planned power outage

About 4,000 Vera Water and Power customers will experience the loss of power Friday, June 9, 2017, from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. while crews make necessary repairs to equipment inside the Vera Substation located at 36th and Sullivan in the Spokane Valley. For the safety of the Vera crew, this type of repair can only be done when the substation is not energized.

“We appreciate your patience during this outage which we hope to keep as short as possible. By making this repair, our goals are to reduce unplanned outage and to improve service reliability,” said Todd Henry, Vera Water and Power Director of Operations. “We hope that by planning the outage during the overnight hours, we can minimize the effect on our customers.”
