On Friday, July 31, 2020, Governor Jay Inslee extended the moratorium on utilities shutting off essential services including electricity and water for non-payment through Oct. 15, 2020. A copy of the Governor’s declaration is available HERE.

Earlier this summer, the Governor required all utilities to develop Covid-19 customer support programs by July 10 which Vera Water and Power did provide. Vera Water and Power’s Customer Support Program is in place to assist our customers adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Fundamentally, the program allows customers to enter into a payment agreement to pay off their unpaid utility bill balances over an extended period of time.
