Vera crews provide mutual aid following windstorms

We are providing mutual aid to our public power friends at Inland Power and Light after the big Labor Day 2020 windstorm.
Just as firefighters, police officers, and other emergency responders combine forces to help rebuild communities devastated by natural disasters, lineworkers, and other electric utility personnel come together in an emergency to turn the lights back on. Despite the smoky skies, crews are working to replace 300-400 power poles that were destroyed by wildfire in Lincoln County. The work is expected to continue all week ending September 18, 2020.
