Every spring we contract with a company to trim the trees that have grown into our power line clearance area. This year our
contractor is the Asplundh Tree Expert Company. Their direction is to trim the trees to minimize the chance of contact with the power lines
which can cause an outage, a fire or other safety issues. So, if you see them at work, know that they are there to help keep the lights on.

Reservoir Overflow Project Underway
Another project just underway is to pipe any overflow water from our largest reservoir down the hill to a vacant parcel that we own. This will prevent any accidental overflow from entering the local neighborhood and contain it to an area where it won’t damage anything. When this is complete our entire overflow protection program will be redesigned to take advantage of this system and reduce the possibility of overflow from our other reservoirs.

Software Updates
The other big project that we have been working on for the last couple of years is the replacement of all of our software, from billing, payments, inventory, work orders, and so forth. This project is starting to show a light at the end of the tunnel. Right now, “go live” projections are for late this summer.

Prior to the change, we will be sending out updates on the new bill, the changes to the payment portals, and any other significant change to the way that we interact with you. Please watch for these notifications and let us know how we can help. We are establishing help desks and subject matter experts for each area of the project and hope to anticipate your questions and needs so that we are ready to help when
you need it.

Again, I want to thank you for all of your support as we navigate our way back to the new normal after all of these trying times. We have made significant changes in the way we operate and will continue to evaluate where we are and what our customers need and do our best to make those match.
