As a publicly-owned, not-for-profit utility, we have the unique privilege and responsibility to deliver safe, reliable electricity and water to our community at the lowest possible price. We take this duty seriously.

Our role as a distribution utility is to ensure that the essential resources our community relies on – electricity and water – are delivered efficiently and reliably. We don’t generate these resources ourselves; instead, we partner with trusted providers. The drinking water we deliver comes from the Spokane-Rathdrum Aquifer. The electricity that powers our homes and businesses is generated by the Bonneville Power Administration; a federal agency known for its clean, renewable hydropower.

While we may not produce these resources ourselves, we take full ownership of their safe and reliable delivery. Our crews work hard to maintain and upgrade our infrastructure, ensuring that our distribution systems are resilient, efficient, and capable of meeting the growing needs of our community. We invest in state-of-the-art technology and best practices to minimize disruptions, optimize performance, and deliver the highest quality service possible.

We also have a commitment to responsible resource management. We actively promote conservation and efficiency, working with our customers to help them understand and manage their usage.
We are proud to serve the Spokane Valley.
