Eligibility
- Consumer Unitary HPWH in Commercial Application:
- Incentives are for retrofit only
- The existing water heater must be an electric-resistance water heater.
- Must be on the Consumer Heat Pump Water Heater in Commercial Applications Qualified Products List.
- Commercial Unitary HPWH
- Incentives are for retrofit or new construction, except:
- Areas where the building energy code requires a HPWH for electric water heating, which currently includes:
- All non-R1 and R2 commercial buildings in Washington state with a combined water heating input rate of 1 million Btu/h or greater.
- Unit must be Energy Star certified as per requirements in the Commercial Water heaters Version 2.0 or later;
- Have an integrated tank; and
- Be installed indoors in a conditioned or buffered space.

All warranties are offered through the manufacturer, not the utility, whether expressed or implied, regarding the product(s) listed above for any materials or labor associated with installation, maintenance, repair, or any energy savings associated with use. Rebate offer(s) apply to new product(s) only. Utility reserves the right to inspect installed product(s). Product(s) must meet all program criteria to qualify for rebate(s).
