About 4,000 Vera Water and Power customers will experience the loss of power Friday, June 9, 2017, from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. while crews make necessary repairs to equipment inside the Vera Substation located at 36th and Sullivan in the Spokane Valley.
Arcadia Power has been calling Vera Water and Power customer promising to provide them with “clean energy for free”. Arcadia Power isn’t actually selling electricity. They are a billing payment service.
Over 96 percent of Vera's electric power is generated from resources with zero carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gas emissions. Most of that power is generated from the hydroelectric dams along the Snake and Columbia Rivers.
