Meet our new eco-friendly helpers: Goats take over as lawn mowers

We’re partnering with a local goat rental company to use herds of goats to keep the grass and weeds down on our properties within the district. These eco-friendly helpers do a fantastic job of controlling vegetation in areas that are difficult to reach with traditional methods, such as steep slopes or rocky terrain. Plus, they selectively graze on invasive plant species, which helps to keep weeds under control.

We’re also planning to move the herd from site-to-site within the district. This will allow us to effectively manage vegetation in the district while also promoting sustainability and reducing costs. And of course, we can’t forget about the goats themselves. They’re a charming addition to the landscape and provide a unique and enjoyable sight for visitors and employees alike.

We’re proud to be using this innovative and eco-friendly solution to manage vegetation on our properties.
