When it comes to value, publicly-owned utilities provide some of the best prices for power, especially Vera Water and Power. Our electricity price is 6.58¢ per kilowatt-hour. The national residential average is 16.4¢, and the Washington state average is 12.34¢. Our monthly base charge for residential customers is $38.30.

When compared with the national monthly average for water service at $73(b), and Washington state’s slightly higher average of $75(b), our water service proves significantly economical, providing the same service for an impressively lower average monthly rate of $23.53 to our residential customers.
